On February 23, 2018 at 04:00 pm we are excited to open the doors and welcome you to the “TCE-Triathlon Convention Europe 2018”. Enjoy your visit: experience interesting, active, sportive and fun hours at THE Triathlon-Show, which will be a first highlight of the new season.

Official opening

Our organizers and some “special guests” you might know from your favourite sport will welcome you with a few personal words. Then, we are jumping into three intense days: it is all about swimming, cycling and running.

Officially, this is the end of the first convention day. However, the party goes on at the pool: at 06:00 pm the “100 x 100 swim” has started and will not have been finished yet. Swim-enthusiasts will be completing and competing in swimming 10k. It will be worth watching!

We are expecting many visitors from near and far and would like to draw your attention to our “specials of the day”: Indoor Triathlon and all the seminars and workshops to attend, participate and try-out.

Activation, mobilisation & technique – new aspects of running rules
The seminar provides practical training sets of muscle activation and mobilisation in order to perfectly prepare a running training unit. Directed exercises will activate weak muscle groups, so that typical injuries are prevented and the running technique is improved.

Sugar & Sport

Endurance sport usually means a lot of sugar intake. Current studies show that sugar often is a burden for the body.
Most triathletes think that with they burn most of the sugar during sport, so there would be no danger – but thats wrong! Sugar can increase the risk of athrose or a heart attack.
It is important to spend some time thinking about the effect and consequences of eating too much sugar! Beate Rösch will do that in her workshop!

In our workshop we are going to show you, how you can fix common mechanical failures on your bike like:

  • -Change your tires
  • -How to fix your breaks &
  • -And how to clean and take care after your bike

All these things aren´t to difficult, if you know how to do it. In addition we are going to teach you the important facts you need to know if you are going to buy a new bike!

You can bring your own bike if you want to!

Longdistance Triathlon means swimming 3.8km, riding the bike for 180km and last but not least running a marathon. All that means it needs a lot of regeneration! The more you train, the less you have time to regenerate. The relation of strain and relief determines the improvement in perfomance and the injuries. As you see it is really important - so be sure to integrate the regeneration into your training schedule! Yoga for triathletes is a good kind of way to get that regeneration. Muscle relaxation, deep relaxation, stretching, the control of you breath and body perception helps you to train your body on regeneration.

Here is the issue: usually recommended exercises and training methods are not targeted enough.In this seminar it is illustrated which training methods and strength exercises you really profit from. Trends, like Crossfit© or Functional Training, are considered and assessed in terms of the enhancement of your training. You may benefit from valuable expert knowledge and helpful tips for a better strength training and successful performance.

After our swimming, cycling and indoor triathlon events on day 1 and 2, today’s focus is on running: The 5k-TCE-Run starts at the same time we are opening the doors for day 3 of the convention. Later on, there is going to be the 10k-TCE-Run.

The sporting performance in triathlon is depending on the volume of the aerobic capacity. This is determined by the condition and amount of mitochondria. The more mitochondria there are and the higher the enzymatic features are, the higher is the supply of energy by lipometabolism. The carb depot will be saved and remains available for intermediate and final sprints. The tutorial provides all possibilities how the mitochondrial capacity can be expanded by regulated nutrition. As a new, crucial factor the “sleep-low-principle”, which top-athletes and hobby sportspeople can implement easily, will be explained.
